experienced post-production services

video editing

Experienced editing skills (Premiere, Avid, Final Cut) – along with a practiced talent for frame composition – will turn your raw footage and storyboard into a seemless presentation. Looking for a little creativity? Discretionary implementation of compositing, cross-fades, motion blurs, time changes or other effects can enhance your project.

color correction

It takes a detailed eye and precise color adjustments to turn that day shot into night, to bring sunshine to a cloudy day, and to make your star's eyes ocean blue, and – most importantly – to maintain consistency throughout a project. DaVinci Resolve digital color correction experience on spots, shorts and feature-length projects.

motion graphics

Animated titles, stop-action sequences, and other motion effects can add interest to your video project. Adobe After Effects provides the technology to bring any text or image to life, I bring the creative ideas to make it effective for telling your story. Turn an old hard drive into an alien? Done that. Made Colonel Sanders dance? That too. What can I animate for you?

a bit about me

  • I’m pretty good at what I do

My current work has me developing classroom instruction videos for a Masters-level online learning program. Before this, I spent 4 years at a post-production company that specializes in TV spots and online video. And I have had the good fortune to have gained additional professional experience color-correcting a feature film; online editing an award-winning indie documentary, producing an award-winning PSA on biking; creating music videos for a singer/songwriter; editing documentaries and commercial videos for a Chicago filmmaker; and interning for a music/interview cable TV show. But I’m humble too. I recognize there is always much more to learn.

  • I work well with clients

From the time I landed my first paid editing job (while a junior in high school), at my recent positions, and through several freelance projects, I have learned to recognize the balance between my vision and the client’s, as well as the importance of working cooperatively to create the highest quality product.

  • I’m a team player

Literally. I’m a member of an amateur cycling team. I’ve trained hard, won several events (riding Single Speed), raced in the Utah and Illinois state championships, supported my team – and have had a blast.

  • I get sh*t done

Need something done? I’m on it. I’m not just a “put in my time” kinda guy. I’ll do what it takes. Need proof? I graduated with a B. A. in Film and Video from Columbia College in Chicago, completing my degree in three years while working part-time. More recently, I’ve held full-time editing jobs while balancing a variety of freelance projects, and fulfilling my passion for bike racing.
